How to Clear or Disable Quick Access in Windows 10

Tired of seeing the Quick Access files and folders in Windows File Explorer? We’ve got you covered in this guide, where we show you how to disable Quick Access or just clear the recent files temporarily.

Disabling Quick Access in Windows 10

1. Open up the File Explorer by typing ‘file explorer’ in the start menu or by simply clicking on the folder icon.

2. Right click on Quick Access, then go to Options.

3. In the Privacy sindows, uncheck the boxes shown below.

You can also just hit the clear option in case you want to remove the files from Quick Access temporarily, but don’t want to disable Quick Access entirely.
