How to View Live Updates to a File in Linux

From the Linux command line, it’s possible to view constant changes to a file with this handy command.

tail -f errors.log

It works especially well on log files, outputting any new lines to the terminal.

When you’re ready to stop viewing the live data, just press Ctrl+C on your keyboard to end it.
